Standards based reporting

At Heritage middle school they started a new standards based reporting system on August 24th 2015.  Instead of A's, B's, C's and F's they started doing 1,2,3 and 4. 1 is for you're not really getting it, 2 is you got it but need a little more practice, 3 is for you know it perfectly, and 4 is for you can go above and beyond. District 100 started doing this,  while other districts are still doing the original A's, B's, and C's.
While A's, B's, C's a d F's are just grading the points that you get on each assignment. While the standards based reporting system helps kids move on to the next level and it's not grading on how many points you get on each assignments. The new system will help kids and let them know what they need to work on or what they are really good at. And  it will not matter on each point you get.
